Not the best way to start the day

Ok For all of those of you strolling through from the randomizer, I'm doing a question of the day to answer via leaving a comment. If enough people actually do it, it could be fun!

Question du Jour: What is your normal bedtime/What time do you get up in the morning?

Personally my shifts tend to vary so my sleep does slightly too. Currently Im on the 6am shift so I get up at 430 and go to sleep around 9 unless it's Wednesday and then I need to watch Lost. (every other show I DVR but this one I watch with my sister so I have to watch it live). I like to have lots of downtime in the morning which is why I get up so freaking early. I hate being rushed, and I NEED to be awake before I head out the door.

So speaking of waking up... Obviously I just did. And that's not the worst part of it. As I stepped on to the floor with my bare feet I landed right into a pile of cold cat puke. Nothing like the feel of kibble emesis squishing through the toes to wake you right up!!

I hope this means the day can only get better from here!!

Hello! I guess I get to be first in the comment department.

As a freelance web designer (aka lazy bum who works from her couch but somehow manages to get paid for it), I am frequently awake until 3 a.m. working on sites. So, these "mornings" you speak of do not tend to agree with me. I try to be awake by 9 a.m., but most of the time I'm up by 10, except for the times I totally slack and stay under the covers until 11.

Thanks for the comment on my blog, by the way. Cheers!

I usually get up about 7am Sunday-Friday but on Saturdays I get up at 6:30am to meet a friend to work out.

I tend to go to bed between 11pm and Midnight.

I could have written Kate's comment word for word! (Except it's freelance webdesign/manuscript editing for an oil company.) My husband's work schedule recently changed to be 5am-5pm so I'm realllly trying to switch, painfully, to his schedule so as to see him more (going to bed between 10-12 and getting up with him at 4am).
