Happy Friday!! (with a shuffle!)
Whoever coined the phrase TGIF knew what they were talking about!!! This has been one of the LONGEST weeks in a while and I am totally psyched for the weekend.
One of my coworkers asked me what I had planned and my answer was "alot of ass-sitting". He felt sorry for me! I guess not everyone understands the joy of doing nothing. It's too bad. I relish time with no plans at all. My kitties LOVE when my plans are no plans. They firmly believe that from the end of the workday Friday till the beginning of the day Monday should be spent cuddling and playing with them. (actually if truth be told, they think that is how I should spent 24/7, but they do realize that I have to earn them food and clean litter)
A bit later in the day I did end up making a small plan. Im getting a massage tomorrow. This is something I NEED. Im almost giddy with anticipation. I confess I am dreading the fact that it means I need to shave my legs tomorrow morning though. Oh well, it'll be worth it. All in all I will only be out of the house for about 2 hours, and maybe Ill bring home something yummy for lunch to bribe them for letting me go out on a weekend.
Back when I lived in Maryland I used to get regular massages. I miss it so much! This one is at the massage school, so it wont be quite as nice, but the best part is the price- $25 for an hour! Im pretty sure it will be worth it.
Sunday is DEFINITELY an ass-sitting day. We do have our weekly weigh in at the vet, but that takes 15 minutes total, and Seamus and I do stop at Taco Bell on the way home so they forgive me. Im hoping my Little Boy lost a little bit, but I doubt it. Since he has been doing his weekly weigh in's he lost a pound, gained it back, lost half a pound, and gained it back. I guess it's better than just gaining or when he lost 3.5 lbs in the three weeks that spurned this weekly weigh in routine. Although we originally wanted to make sure he stopped losing so fast, we still want him to lose slowly. I guess he just is taking the slow idea a little TOO seriously. It's all good though. Even though he doesnt love the car, and says "idonwanna" and "gramma!" the whole time (I think he thinks SHE would never do this to him- and of course she wouldnt; she doesnt drive!) we're in the car, he gets all friendly and purry at the vet and on the drive home. My guess is that he's just afraid he'll get another finger up the butt, and once he realizes we're not there for that, he gets happy!
Well I'm off to build a fire and cuddle in front of it with my bebes to pre-bribe them for me leaving tomorrow. And to wind down and chill (while warming up!) after a long stressful week.
I'll leave you till tomorrow with my Friday shuffle
