You can't always get what you want
So I won't be moving to Atlanta soon. But I will in June when my lease is up. The position down there now just didn't work out.So I found something here that I think I will enjoy for the next 6 months, and hopefully can transfer with the company down to Atlanta next June.
In some ways it feels a bit like moving backwards, because it's back to retail which I left a long time ago, but it also feels like the right place for right now.
It's not normal retail, it's bridal, which I have loved through my volunteering with Making Memories, so I think (HOPE!) I will really enjoy this too.
The busy season is starting after Christmas, as opposed to every other retail gig. I kinda like that.
It's not what I thought I wanted, but I think it's what I need at this point...
And I don't feel bad about the other opportunity not panning out because I wasn't sure it was right for me to begin with. This job I feel is definitely right for right now. I am very sad that I won't get to be near the people I love for another half of a year, but they are still in my life, still in my heart, and will, eventually, be in my neighborhood, so that's good enough for now.
So you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need...
